Before you begin
Because this app isn't from the Google Play Store, Android will ask you to allow installation from unknown sources — this is completely normal for private or self-hosted apps. We'll walk you through it step by step.
Download the app
Open this link on your Android device
Tap the button below in your browser (Chrome works great). The file will download automatically — it's an .apk file, which is just the Android app installer format.
Find the downloaded file
Once downloaded, a notification will appear at the top of your screen. Tap it — or open your Files app and look in the Downloads folder for latest.apk.
Allow installation from this source
When you tap the downloaded file, Android may show a security prompt. Here's exactly what to do — it only takes a moment.
Install & open
Tap "Install" on the prompt
Android will show you the app's permissions and an Install button. Give it a tap — installation takes just a few seconds.
Open the app
Once installed, tap Open right from the prompt — or find PlugIn in your app drawer. That's it, you're all set!
If something seems off
"App not installed" error
Your phone may have a security setting blocking it. Head to Settings → Biometrics & Security → Install Unknown Apps and make sure your browser or Files app has permission enabled.
Failed to PlugIn!
Check your network settings, try another browser (we recommend Brave) or contact E.T.A.
App keeps crashing on open
Try uninstalling any existing copies of PlugIn on your device and then download and reinstall again to get a fresh copy of the .apk. If it still doesn't work, you can e-mail us at [email protected] and we'll sort you out!
